Access Tokens – Help Guide
Access Tokens are a key feature in managing and monitoring institutional access to Emerald Publishing’s digital resources. This guide explains what access tokens are, how they work, and where to find usage information.
What Are Access Tokens?
Access Tokens are digital credentials that allow institutions to provide controlled access to specific Emerald products. These tokens are typically used for:
- Research Pass
- Select EBA (Evidence-Based Acquisition)
- eBook Select
These tokens help institutions manage access to content while tracking usage for informed acquisition decisions. Your existing holdings will be taken into account.
Viewing Your Access Tokens
To view your institution’s active access tokens:
- Log in to your Emerald Publishing institutional portal.
- Navigate to the Access Tokens tab in the top navigation bar.
- You’ll see a summary including:
- Currently Active Access Tokens (e.g., 43 active tokens)
- Product Name (e.g., Emerald eBook Select Evidence Based Acquisition 50)
- Start Date (if available)
This section displays all institutional token products and their usage statistics.
