Why can't I see the author details for articles in Strategic Direction?

Modified on Wed, 7 May at 6:45 PM

Author details for the articles in Strategic Direction are usually kept confidential. The practitioner-focused articles in Strategic Direction are precis articles, which, according to industry-standard, offer short summations, as well as reviews, of existing articles that may or may not be owned by Emerald. The authors of precis articles oftentimes do not wish to take credit for their precis because they understand it is entirely based on the work of another researcher, with little additional ideas or information presented in the precis by themselves.

To cite Strategic Direction articles, we generally suggest that you please cite as usual (via the reference style preferred by your institution) but exclude author name. If you would like to view/read and cite the original article the SD precis is based on, these are usually linked to at the bottom of the page of the article.

If you have any further queries, please contact Emerald Customer Support and include details of the purpose for which you need to know additional information.
