New Insight Launch: Known Issues

DNS Servers - #504 server errors 
 
The new Insight will go live during the working hours of 21st July. You may need to use “Ctrl F5” to refresh your browser as our global network of DNS servers’ updates.


Profile users

Following the re-launch of Emerald Insight, all existing Insight and ICE profile users will be required to reset their password at: https://www.emerald.com/my-account/reset-password. Please note this can only be done after the new platform is available. All profile users will receive emailed instructions once profiles are available to access.

 This includes:

  • Account Administrators
  • Editorial Stakeholders
  • Profile users who previously registered to use Organization Access Numbers (OANS – Insight) or

tokens (ICE Virtual Library)



Organisation Access Number (OAN) and Token users
 
Profile users who previously registered using a live OAN or Access token which was associated with an institutional account, will continue to have access to the institution’s subscriptions. This provision is now enabled through Affiliated Member Access. Please see our guidance at https://emeraldpublishinggroup.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/3600057405


Proxy access

Our EZproxy database definitions will change to the below stanza:

T (title): Emerald

HJ https://emerald.com

The Liblynx stanza is no longer required
 The 
ICE Virtual Library stanza is no longer applicable and will be updated on OCLC’s platform


WAYFless URLs

 
WAYFless links will change from:
 
https://www.emerald.com/start-session?idp=https://entityID

to 

https://www.emerald.com/Shibboleth.sso/Login?entityID=https://entityID


Federated/SeamlessAccess

We are currently experiencing issues with Federated Access to the New Insight Platform, we ask for your patience and will release any updates as they come through. 


 
Our SP details will remain as https://www.emerald.com however, the SP code will change – Support have details for customer who need it.

 ICE customers will need to update their SP call out from https://www.icevirtuallibrary.com/shibboleth to https://www.emerald.com/


Azure AD/Microsoft Entra ID
 
The Azure AD integration with the ICE Virtual Library will no longer work as the XML details will change. Customer Support will be communicating directly with all affected ICE customers.
